Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 July 2026

This policy explains how Ghetto Blaster AB (“we,” “us”), an independent games studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, collects and uses your personal data when you use our games, apps and services. We're the data controller. We keep data collection to a minimum.

What we collect

  • Account data — a user ID we assign you, the username or display name you choose to represent you, and — only if you choose to sign in (e.g. with Sign in with Apple) — an email. We never require an email to get started, and Sign in with Apple lets you hide your real email.
  • Progress & saved data — your progress, settings, and in-app choices (which can include details you give us, like a preferred name or a favourite colour). This is saved to your account; if you've signed in, it's associated with your sign-in details, such as your email.
  • Purchase data (if applicable) — a record that a purchase happened. Payment details are handled by the app store, not us.
  • Analytics & diagnostics — how our games and apps perform and are used: feature and session activity, device model, OS version, and crash data. This is pseudonymous — keyed to a device or app identifier rather than your name or email, but still personal data under the GDPR. We use it to fix bugs and improve our games and apps, and we work with it in aggregate wherever we can.

A note on identifiers: the data we hold is pseudonymous — linked to a user, device, or app identifier rather than your real name, but still your personal data under the GDPR, with all the rights below. We deliberately use these identifiers instead of your real-world identity; only genuinely aggregated statistics that can't be traced back to any individual would fall outside that.

How we use it

  • To provide and maintain our games and apps and your account.
  • To deliver purchases and restore them across your devices.
  • To fix bugs, improve performance, and understand how features are used.
  • To respond to support requests and meet legal obligations.

Our legal bases under the GDPR, by purpose:

  • Providing and maintaining our games, apps, and your account — performance of our contract with you.
  • Fixing bugs, and improving and securing our games and apps — our legitimate interests in running, improving, and protecting them.
  • Optional sign-in, and any non-essential analytics or on-device storage — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Meeting tax, accounting, and other legal obligations — legal compliance.

Sharing

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our games and apps (e.g. hosting, analytics, crash reporting) under contract, with app stores for purchases, and where required by law. Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep legally.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the use of your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, or to delete your account, see Support or email support@ghettoblaster.se. EU/EEA users may also complain to their local data protection authority (in Sweden, the IMY). Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time — as easily as you gave it — without affecting any processing already carried out.

We don't make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you by solely automated means, and we don't profile you in that way.

Children

Our games are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here and update the date above.
